CalFire has revised the number of estimated acres burned to approximately 600. Firefighters will be aggressively working on the fire all night.

The Red Cross shelter expects to house about 10 people overnight. Residents planning to stay at the Red Cross Shelter should check in at the San Lorenzo Valley High School Cafeteria at 7105 Highway 9 in Felton. They will then be directed to the Middle School Shelter.

CalFire reports total fire personnel at 175+, 3 fire crews, 30 engines, 7 air tankers, and 2 helicopters currently assigned to the fire.

Evacuation phone calls were made to approximately 1,400 residents of the area. The Sheriff’s Office went door to door issuing mandatory evacuation notices to approximately 200 homes Thayer Road, Pine Flat Road, Towhee Drive, Quail Drive, Smith Grade, Moore Ranch, Lupine Road, Warren Road, and Martin Road.

Evacuated livestock should be taken to the County Fairgrounds to be housed.
