County Redevelopment Agency Administrator Appointed

Susan A. Mauriello, the Santa Cruz County Administrative Officer, announced today that Betsey Lynberg has been appointed as the Redevelopment Agency Administrator. Ms. Lynberg will replace Tom Burns, who has been appointed the County Planning Director.

Ms. Lynberg, 46, has served as the interim RDA Administrator since November 2003, and has worked for the County since 1991. She has held the positions of RDA Capital Improvement Program Manager and Urban Designer with the RDA and the Planning Department. Prior to joining the County, Ms. Lynberg worked for the City of San Jose Architectural and Engineering Division of Public Works as a Landscape Architect. She holds a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelors Degree in Forestry from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ms. Lynberg said, "I am very pleased to have been appointed the Administrator of the Redevelopment Agency. I look forward to working with residents and the Board to continue the Agency's community improvement work in Live Oak and Soquel."
