Auditor-Controller Receives Awards
The Santa Cruz County Auditor-Controller has been awarded the Government
Finance Officers Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in
Financial Reporting for the County's comprehensive annual financial report
(CAFR). The County's annual financial report was judged by an impartial panel
to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a
constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to communicate the County's
financial story. The Certificate of
Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental
accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant
accomplishment by a government and its managers.
Gary Knutson, the County
Auditor-Controller, accepted the award on behalf of his office, acknowledging
the fine work of his staff in conforming to the high standards set by the
Controller's Office and the Government Finance Officers Association.
