FILING FEES

With certain exceptions, most recorded documents are charged the regular recording fee of $15.00 for the first page and $3.00 for each additional page or fraction thereof. A page is one side of a sheet of paper no larger than 8 ½" by 11". (27361.4 GC) ADDITIONAL INDEXING

In addition to the basic fee, there is a fee for additional indexing (27361.2 & 27361.8 GC)

ADDITIONS TO BASIC FEE

DOCUMENTARY TRANSFER TAX

The Documentary Transfer Tax is imposed on each deed, instrument, or writing by which any lands, tenements, or other realty sold within the County shall be granted, assigned, transferred, or otherwise conveyed to, or vested in, the purchaser(s) or any other person or persons by his or her direction.

The tax is at the rate of $0.55 for each $500.00 or fractional part thereof, when the net consideration or value of the property exceeds $100.00 exclusive of the value of any lien or encumbrance remaining thereon at the time of sale.----$0.55 for each $500

SURVEY MONUMENT FEE

The survey monument preservation fee is an additional fee required when recording any grant deed which conveys a fee interest in real property that makes reference to anything other than complete lots in a recorded subdivision tract map. (27584 GC)
